Torn Apart: Separated at the Border plot

Every year, thousands of family members lose sight of each other when they illegally cross the American border from Mexico. A large part of them consists of children who are separated from their parents. In this documentary we follow Maria and her ten-year-old son Alex. Maria is imprisoned and does not see Alex again until seventy days later.
