Documentary about footballer Toni Kroos and his career at Real Madrid. While he shines in the game as the star of the team, he is quite reserved off the field. For Toni Kroos, it all started on the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg in Greifswald, where he learned to play football at Greifswalder SC from 1997 to 2002 under his father, who worked there as a youth coach. After the family moved, he joined Hansa Rostock before FC Bayern Munich showed interest, where he was under contract from 2007. But after winning the World Cup in 2014, Toni Kroos' life suddenly changed. The otherwise shy and reserved player was suddenly devoted to the biggest football club in the world. With Real Madrid, he won the UEFA Champions League four times, something no German had done before. But in addition to the highlights mentioned, there are also defeats in the sport. Director Manfred Oldenburg accompanied the footballer for his documentary during training sessions, matches, but also in his private life and follows the career of Toni Kroos from Greifswald to Madrid.
