This Search for Meaning plot

A portrait of British band Placebo, exploring the meaning and subject matter behind their songs, as well as their evolution as a group and as people. The documentary not only chronicles the band’s origins, but also delves into the legacy they’ve created, exploring themes of surveillance, culture, control, sexuality, gender identity, addiction and trauma. In addition to interviews with vocalist-guitarist Brian Molko and bassist-guitarist Stefan Olsdal, the film also features interviews with artists who admire or are inspired by Placebo, including Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson, Robbie Williams and Yungblud.
