The West Lusaka Man plot

Roel Goosen, a fortune seeker in Africa, is charged with the murder of a Zambian woman who attended a prayer service. There are two witnesses who say they saw a white man with a gun. Further real evidence is lacking, but on these rickety statements, Goosen is sentenced to death. 'The West Lusaka Man' is an account of the attempts Goosen's parents subsequently make to get their son released. The documentary does not stop with a reconstruction of a crime and the difficult struggle to negotiate justice in a foreign and distant country.
