The Nine plot

"The Ninth" is a portrait of a devastated community living on Modesto's South Ninth Street, a barren, forgotten street in Modesto, a city located in California's Great Central Valley. The film focuses on Kiki, a bubbly and childlike bum. She is optimistic, which for her is a means of self-preservation. The infamous street is a no man's land where the rules of polite society do not apply. The people who live there survive in a daily bustle by any means possible.
