The New Saint plot

Yevgeni Radionov was taken hostage by Chechen rebels as a Russian soldier in 1996. Because he refused to convert to Islam, he was beheaded. He was nineteen years old. Radionov has since become an icon in Russia. People from far and wide flock to his grave, admiring his bravery and fortitude. And after the resin seemed to spontaneously leak myrrh in a painting of the deceased soldier in a church, an eager attempt is made to canonize Radionov.
