The Moon and the Sledgehammer plot

Portrait from the early 1970s of an eccentric family living just outside London. The father, his two sons and his two daughters live in a dilapidated house amidst the woods and enormous steam engines, which the father and the sons manufacture themselves. The daughters take care of the household and play harmonium. They are not hippies and they by no means live by the fashionable community principles; on the contrary, the Pages - as the family is called - belong to the firm British tradition of individualistic and idiosyncratic eccentrics.
