The Micro Debt plot

For decades, microcredit has been called the best solution to fight poverty. However, interest rates of 30 to 200% make it impossible for the poor in Mexico, India and Bangladesh to repay their loans. They are under extreme social pressure and are also often treated meanly and rudely by lenders when they are late with a payment.
