"One Man's Mission to Change the National Anthem"

Australians are part of the British Commonwealth: Elizabeth II is also their queen. Not everyone agrees. The experienced filmmaker and convinced Republican Curtis Levy is running for the parliamentary elections. His goal? Raise 'Waltzing Matilda' as the national anthem of an independent Australia. This is a popular folk tune from 1895 about a tramp with a Matilda, a knapsack. It's widely regarded as the unofficial Australian national anthem - at least anyone who speaks to Levy confirms it. Director Levy documents the campaign time, while philosophizing in voice-over about the underlying issues of his mission.
