The First Hymn plot

In the ruins of ancient Oxyrhynchus in Egypt, archaeologists have discovered a papyrus fragment containing the oldest known Christian hymn, complete with lyrics and musical notation. Experts at Oxford University are analyzing the discovery, which overturns traditional views on the musical practices of the early church. In this documentary, directed by historian John Dickson, the hymn is reborn thanks to composers Chris Tomlin and Ben Fielding, who transform it into a modern worship piece.
