The Exiles plot

In 1989, the peaceful student protest in Tiananmen Square was brutally crushed by the Chinese regime. The colorful, activist Chinese-Korean Christine Choy (“I am a troublemaker”), who has lived in America since her teenage years, started a documentary about three Chinese who had fled to the United States in the demonstration. She interviewed a student leader, an academic and a businessman who supported the protest, but did not finish the film. Thirty years later she visits the interviewees again.
