A girl is aborted every 12 seconds in India, which has resulted in some villages being made up of an all-male population. In the documentary we end up in a village where something magical happens. Every time a girl is born, a fruit tree is planted, which grows up together with the girl. As an adult, she can earn a living by selling the fruit from her tree. And that is why this tree is called the 'Daughter Tree'.
