The Beaver Trilogy plot
While his camera happens to be spinning, TV cameraman Trent Harris encounters an eccentric young man in the early 1980s. This boy later writes to him about a talent show at his school in Beaver, Utah, where he will perform under the name Olivia Newton-Dawn. Harris is so stunned by the young transvestite, his performance, and the way the small town of Beaver reacts to it that he re-enactments the entire experience twice—first with Sean Penn and later with Crispin Glover.
