The Banjo and the Bard plot

Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson are both writers and poets who wrote about the Australian bush in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The affluent Paterson sees the bush as a place of romance and adventure. The poorer Lawson, however, sees the bush as a harsh environment where survival is not easy. This difference in perspective leads to a literary rivalry.
