Terug naar Angola plot

Helio, Kelson and Albertina are unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (AMAs) from Angola. There are currently (2005) approximately 4000 Angolan UMAs residing in the Netherlands. They fall between two stools as a result of the new asylum policy. Until recently, their stay was dominated by integration, but now they are unceremoniously sent back to Angola as soon as they are eighteen. Helio, Kelson and Albertina are among the first group of AMAs to suffer this fate.
