Tension Structures plot

How do you build structures that won't collapse even under the worst conceivable conditions? A former engineer investigates and travels to peaceful Bavarian Hassfurt, where he searches in vain for a particularly constructed bridge from 1860. In La Villette, he discovers where a glass building finds its delicate balance: the glass carries the steel cables, while the steel in turn carries the glass.
