Tehora plot

Documentary about the purification ritual prescribed for women within Orthodox Jewish communities. According to 2,000-year-old Jewish tradition, a woman is considered unclean during menstruation. She then has to seclude herself and perform certain cleansing rites. Director Anat Zuria has managed to penetrate the narrow circle of people who are part of a conservative community governed by rules and restrictions. The strict religious laws govern married life and female sexuality. They have never changed in all of history.
