Taamaden plot

'Taamaden' shows two worlds: that of a number of West African immigrants who make a living in Spain, and that of the young Bakary in Mali. These young men have one thing in common: they have regular contact with a mystical-religious clairvoyant. The documentary reveals an intimate story about the daily lives of immigrants and their ties to spiritual leaders. Switching between Africa and Europe, it is seen how African occultism finds a place in Europe via the smartphone, and how faith and hope can be as strong as the harsh reality.
