Sylwester plot

Director Bart Verstockt follows one of the very last Polish veterans in Belgium for a year. He shows the double life of 95-year-old Sylwester Bardzinski: at home in Sint-Gillis-Waas he is a needy elderly man, but at the annual war commemoration ceremonies he is the highly appreciated (and often only present) war hero. Attending these ceremonies organizes his existence and gives dynamics to this man's limited and stagnant life for several months of the year.
