Sweet Dreams plot
A group of headstrong Rwandan women use drums and ice cream to create an original connection in their torn village community. Since the Rwandan civil war in the 1990s, not only the victims and their orphans have lived with the horrific genocide in their memory, but also the children and women of the perpetrators. Rwandan theater maker Kiki Katese invited women from both sides to play drums - for fun and to think about a new future. The drum group, the first of its kind in Rwandan history, consists of sixty women from different backgrounds.
