Suvenirim plot
The 36-year-old Israeli filmmaker Shahar Cohen has been unemployed for a while after his film training. When his 82-year-old father proposes to make a film about his experiences during the Second World War, he is not very enthusiastic. Reluctantly, he goes to a meeting for veterans of the Jewish Brigade where old men talk about their training in Libya, their battles in the Italian countryside and their post-war stay in the Netherlands. Only when Cohen hears them bragging about the 'souvenirs' they left behind with their Dutch girlfriends in the form of a baby, does he really get motivated for his film. What follows is a true road movie in a tiny Autobianchi through Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
