Summer Pasture plot
The film follows a young family for a summer in the highest, coldest, poorest, largest and most remote part of Tibet, in the Chinese province of Sichuan. Their main concern is how to maintain their traditional way of life. Many young people move to the cities, the animals are sold and the original traditions are in danger of being lost. The rigid Chinese government policy is also causing problems. Chinese immigrants are flooding the country and are favored by jobs. The fate of the Tibetan people hangs by a thread. How should this proceed?
