Staroverci plot

The inhabitants of a Romanian village were followed for five years. Striking are the beliefs and language that have been used by Russian immigrants, a minority group, since the seventeenth century and that have been preserved over all this time. In the village, time seems to have stood still and his views on the natural course of events (birth, marriage, death) have remained unchanged. The strict belief largely determines the daily rituals within the village.
