Srdce nad Hradem plot
A neon heart on Prague Castle lit up the city for the last three months of Václav Havel's presidential term – an artist's tribute to Havel's extraordinary deeds. His last major job was hosting the NATO summit in 2002 and Nemec was given exclusive access to film. He wanted to make a "special, poetic film," but it took Nemec years to process what he had seen—George W. Bush, busily forging an alliance to invade Iraq. So perhaps it is out of revenge that the director democratically aims his camera at everyone involved at the summit, allocating as much time to kitchen and wait staff, musicians, guards and anti-NATO protesters as to heads of state and their entourage.
