Soyalism plot

What are the consequences of the growing demand for meat in China for the Amazon region? And why are farmers from Brazil being lured to Mozambique to grow soya there? This classic investigative documentary tries to find the answer to these questions. The entire chain of the pig industry is followed. From huge soy plantations in the Brazilian rainforest to ultramodern slaughterhouses in China, where a spokesperson proudly says that as many as 600 pigs can be slaughtered per hour. The film describes the system as it originated in the United States and was subsequently exported all over the world.
