South plot

Reflecting on the meaning of empowerment, artist Morgan Quaintance explores two liberation movements through a patchwork of celluloid, VHS, and Google Street View imagery. Morgan Quaintance interweaves anti-racist and anti-authoritarian liberation movements, one in South London and the other on Chicago's South Side, with its own biography. He investigates what happens when sounds are not heard, and the influence is extinguished.
