Solmatalua plot

A ritual salute to creation and a photograph of a slave ship begin this organic representation of memories from the African diaspora. As if Ribeiro-Andrade is drawing straight from a dream world built from memories, he mixes images of early settlements with the children playing in the alleys of the favela. There is performance, dance and provocative activism alongside almost abstract light, nature sound, modern music and melancholy vocals.
