Silent House plot

Against the background of the turbulent Iranian history of the past forty years, Silent House shows the fortunes of three generations of an upper-class family. At the center is the hundred-year-old villa in Tehran, in which the family has experienced happy and dramatic periods. The filmmakers, who belong to the family as brother and sister, were able to draw on the rich family archive of home movies for the film, which they place next to historical material and interviews with family members.
