Shenka plot

Portrait of Shenka, the eldest daughter of an Antillean one-parent family in one of the largest deprived areas of Rotterdam. Dilemmas regarding loyalty make it very difficult for her to simultaneously become an ideal daughter, dream girlfriend and independent woman in today's Netherlands. For three years, the makers follow her closely in her quest for happiness and independence at the interface of two cultures. What ultimately determines her choice?
