Serendipity plot
The female body is central to much of the work of the multidisciplinary artist Prune Nourry (Paris, 1985). In her sculptures, installations, videos, photos and performances, she explores issues of gender and fertility – work she has been doing since 2011 as artist in residence at the Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn. While working on her book Serendipity, in which she presents an overview of her work, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. An account of how her body, work, soul and spirit have fared, a passionate plea for the idea that everything is connected and that coincidence is an illusion.
