'Serbie, année zero' is an autobiographical documentary by Goran Markovi? that meanders between historical events, his work and his private life. The big question he asks is: who was to blame? ourselves? The other? And how did it come to this? He does not spare himself, apart from a few vain passages in which he lets the French philosopher Bernard Henry-Levy tinker about his mastery. Markovi? At one point, he was offered an offer to work in New York, but declined. He couldn't say goodbye to the country he had such a love-hate relationship with.
