Sanctuary plot

This film shows a sanctuary for abandoned and abused donkeys. Animals play the leading role, people are just extras. The camera seeks direct contact with the animals with a mixture of trust, curiosity and vulnerability. The documentary observes four donkey rescue centers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the United States. Since its inception, the Donkey Sanctuary has rescued over 19,000 donkeys.
