Run Ricky Run plot
"Hard to tackle. Harder to put a finger on."
Ricky Williams does not fit the American definition of a modern athlete. In 2004, with rumors of a positive marijuana test, the Miami Dolphins running back traded worship and a villa in South Florida for anonymity and a tent costing seven dollars a night in Australia. His decision attracted a lot of media attention, ruined his reputation and labeled him America's weed head. But where almost everyone in the media thought Williams was ruining his life by leaving football, Ricky thought he was just making it. With personally recorded footage of Williams during his time away from football, filmmaker Sean Pamphilon takes a fresh look at a player who had become a media plaything and fought back as a father and a teammate.
