Rudyland plot

The opening of a Disney store in the drug-trafficking and prostitution neighborhood around Times Square was a personal victory for New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Republican Giuliani is praised by supporters and opponents for the fall in crime in New York. After his first term, he was reelected by a large majority. This documentary focuses on the downside of his policies in the Lower East Side, traditionally a gathering place for immigrants and freebooters like squatters and artists. Not only crime, but also homeless shelters and cultural refuges are under pressure.
