Roze Bubbel plot

Afra was raised by two mothers. Growing up felt like a big pink bubble for her, warm and loving. But when she learned about the societal obstacles her parents had to overcome to have a child, her bubble burst. For example, one of her mothers didn't legally exist for 12 years. This is still the reality for many multi-parent families. When Afra learned this, she became determined to tell the story of rainbow families. In this documentary, the filmmakers show what happens when you fall outside the "standard" picture of a family.
