Roshmia plot
Yousef and Amna are both around eighty years old. They have lived for more than fifty years in a shabby house made of corrugated iron and tarpaulin in the Roshmia Valley, a deep gorge in the northern Israeli city of Haifa. Now that the city is advancing, the silence is regularly disturbed by a roaring truck. A new road construction project forces the elderly couple to relocate by the authorities. They are rebellious and desperate, especially Yousef. He has already endured much from the war and the oppression, and he wants to die in this place. The film observes the bickering, constantly cigarette smoking couple in the last days of their stay in the Roshmia Valley. They have no children and receive few visitors, although journalists now regularly come to interview them about their situation.
