Rodeni s Veka plot

There are many different forms of historiography. The Bulgarian director Eldora Traykova gave the floor to a large number of centenarian compatriots. The personal stories alternate in a clear, chronological way, so that the history of the country appears automatically. The dry facts of the turbulent twentieth century come back to life in the wrinkled hands and faces. Some things the old people remember with a smile. A wedding, a day out in the big city, a favorite song. But everyone is marked in their own way by the violent lows of the past hundred years. Traykova unemphatic uses historical archive recordings and past photographs of the interviewees.
