Remake plot

The death of his son prompts Ross McElwee to reflect on his life's work. Ultimately, he turns to his archive of home movies. To what extent did his camera influence their relationship when Adrian was alive? To what extent does it define that relationship now that he's gone? Meanwhile, an attempt to adapt McElwee's debut film, Sherman's March, into a feature film is underway, offering the director a new perspective for meditating on filmmaking and mortality.
