Rabbit in the Moon plot

When the Americans declared war on Japan in 1942, immediately after the attack on Pearl Harbor, there were about 120,000 Japanese living in the United States. From that moment on they were regarded as dangerous individuals, and they were interned en masse in specially built camps. The Americans, including President Roosevelt, did not speak of prisons but of concentration camps, because that sounded friendlier, people thought at the time.
