Precious Life plot

"Precious Life" tells the intimate story of a mother who tries to save the life of her newborn son against the background of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The film subtly balances the complex relationship that exists between the personal and the political. Director Shlomi Eldar, an Israeli Jew, is deeply moved by the plight of a Palestinian mother who tries to save her child with an immune disease. Camera in hand, he decides to help them cross the border, enabling bone marrow surgery. What follows is a surprising denouement and much food for thought.
