Ping Pong plot
"8 players. 703 years between them."
Documentary about a table tennis tournament for people over eighty, who excel even more than because of their sports qualities because of their vitality and dynamism. The film follows eight elderly table tennis players during the World Cup for the over-80s in Inner Mongolia in China. Les D'Arcy is a living legend: at 89 he does not think about giving up and he is resolutely going for gold, even though he already has seven world titles in his pocket. But compared to the Australian Dorothy deLow, he's a rookie: she's 100 and a real celebrity in the ping-pong world for the elderly. This time she will have to watch out, because young talent is passing by: 85-year-old Texan Lisa Modlich is determined to take her first gold.
