Pilastro, II plot

Il Pilastro was built in the 1960s on the outskirts of Bologna. The residential area was intended for domestic migrants who had moved to the city from the countryside to work in the flourishing post-war industry. Initially, the neighborhood was isolated from the city without basic infrastructure, but residents revolted and successfully forced improvements to the city plan. However, the neighborhood quickly acquired a stigma.
