Phoenix in der Asche plot

After many years of fighting, the traditional basketball club Phoenix Hagen again manages to play in the first division. The small town on the edge of the Ruhr area therefore celebrates joyfully. But the promotion to the first division also brings up the first major problem: to remain in the Bundesliga, a number of matches have to be won. But Phoenix Hagen doesn't win anything. The young coach, Ingo Freyer, urgently needs to find a solution so that his team does not have to face relegation again. In their greatest need, Michael Jordan is then asked to bring rescue. But the savior doesn't just bring his illustrious name from basketball to Hagen…
