Pelym plot

The word 'pelym' refers to the many remote Russian prison camps, known for their strict regime and harsh living conditions. Pelym is also the name of an area on the edge of the Urals where these prison camps are located. Polish filmmakers Andrzej Klamt and Ulrich Rydzewski speak with the prisoners and the inhabitants of the surrounding area; a region where vodka flows freely because it is the only source of entertainment.
