Passages plot

Brazilian cinema revived in the 1990s, after a period when the film industry was on the brink of death (under President Collor de Mello, only five films were made a year). This revival, the Retomada do Cinema Brasileiro, took place in several places in the country. This documentary mainly focuses on São Paolo and the northeastern region of Pernambuco. A fruitful cultural collaboration blossomed between these two very different regions.
