In Burkina Faso, in the Bantara prospecting region, 16-year-old Rasmané descends more than 100 meters underground in artisanal mines to extract gold. Rasmané makes his way through this savage, adult world in the hope of emancipating one day. He hopes to find gold with which to build his future. But the long days of labor are fruitless.
