Op de Drempel van het Grote Vergeten plot
In the company of a young historian from Putten, director Tom Verheul goes in search of a responsible from the German occupation army who will be held accountable for the massive raid in Putten on 2 October 1944, which killed more than 540 men in German labor camps. In this research documentary Verheul travels with the historian along victims, archives and authorities. They are even present at a reunion of Wehrmacht veterans of the Hermann Göring division, which carried out the raid. But they get stuck everywhere. Most of those involved are now deceased; older Germans who might be able to help them further downplay the event. When they have almost given up hope, they unexpectedly find one ex-Wehrmacht adjutant who is still alive. That too turns around the truth at first, until he is pressured by his wife.
