Odoriko plot
Odoriko's performances consist of intensive, sometimes acrobatic choreographies, performed in sumptuous costumes until the costumes go out. Because these dancers practice the Japanese cabaret form of striptease theatre: once popular, but now only seen in a few clubs in the country. The women travel from theater to theater, performing for ten days in a row for their dwindling fan base. In their dressing rooms, this documentary shows the performers: eating, chatting, and getting ready for the stage, only to return there without clothes and without embarrassment in front of the camera.
