Although the Akkouch family has lived in Germany for 16 years, their residence status is still uncertain and the fear of being deported weighs heavily on them. Lial (19) and Hassan (18), the only one of the six family members to receive a temporary residence permit, feel responsible and discuss who should be the breadwinner of the family. Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Maradona gets herself into more and more trouble and is expelled from school. He finds himself in a dilemma: should he join the ambitious lifestyle of his brother and sister or stay true to his street friends? However, his unexpected qualification for a television talent show could change everything. If he wins the top prize of 100,000 euros, he will save his family. The camera follows the three young people at school, during their lessons, at home and at their dance performances and break dance competitions.
