Ne Faites pas de Cinéma! plot

In this documentary about the making of the film 'Le Fetsin de la Mante' we see how director Marc Levie commits blunder after blunder, how he desperately tries to get everyone to his position before shooting, how he has to convince actors and assistants again and again. of the importance of yet another erotic chase scene (invariably with the undeniable argument: "Oui, mais c'est quand-même un beau paysage"), how he tries in vain to persuade his prudish lead actress to take off her clothes for a crucial nude scene , how he (in raincoat and underwear!) dives into a stream to prepare an outdoor scene while the rest of the crew turns their backs on him on the bank and how they use lighters and pattex to craft the final explosion scene in the conservatory.
